Durability

Unmatched Performance in Seismic Protection

Our fluid viscous dampers are engineered for excellence, featuring a pressure-compensated design that guarantees reliable performance across varying temperatures. This innovative technology ensures your structures remain safe and stable, even in the most challenging conditions.

Consistent Performance

Engineered for reliability, ensuring optimal function in diverse environmental conditions.

Seismic Safety

Reduces structural response significantly during seismic events, enhancing overall safety.

Features of Our Fluid Viscous Dampers for Seismic Zones

Suggested use for bridges and buildings located in medium and high level earthquake zones

FVDs consist of a piston-cylinder arrangement filled with a silicone-based or similar viscous fluid. During an earthquake, as the structure begins to move and vibrate, the piston moves through the fluid, creating resistance. This resistance converts the kinetic energy from seismic movements into heat through fluid friction, effectively absorbing and dissipating the earthquake's energy.

Performance

Maximizing Infrastructure Resilience with Advanced Energy Dissipation

Fluid Viscous Dampers deliver exceptional performance by intelligently responding to seismic velocities, providing powerful energy dissipation during earthquakes while allowing normal thermal movements. Their velocity-dependent response significantly reduces structural vibrations and displacements, enhancing both structural integrity and occupant comfort while extending infrastructure lifespan.

Superior Energy Dissipation

Absorbs and converts seismic energy into heat, reducing structural response by up to 50% during earthquakes while maintaining flexibility for normal thermal expansions and contractions.

Velocity-Intelligent Protection

Automatically scales damping force based on movement speed, providing maximum resistance during high-velocity seismic events and minimal interference during slow environmental movements.

Durability and Reliability

Engineered for 30+ years of maintenance-free operation with proven performance in global seismic zones, ensuring long-term protection of critical infrastructure investments.

Versatile Application

Ideal for both new construction and retrofits across bridges, high-rises, and mass transit infrastructure, offering flexible installation options without supporting vertical loads.
